Been thinking about Donald Trump's talk of dictatorship. He wants control and not necessarily power. I believe that he will fashion his tenure after being elected not unlike Putin and Russia. He won't rule like a Stalin. He will encourage and promote the growth of an oligarch class much like Russia. Life will be much like it is currently - permanent state of lethargy and/or fatigue of unrelenting untruths and falsehoods from the state - not unlike the Soviet system.
Can't you feel it?
We won't be fellow citizens equal under the law. Maga is now/currently the new version of the soviet "comrade" under the state. Maybe a Trump comrade should be called "Magan"
Trump won't be flashy about exercising his control. Tools of personal freedom will quietly disappear and be replaced by things the Trump state will use to keep the peace, but without pride, hope or fun as people made.
Hope, Pride and fun will be what the state insinuates without stating it or explicit. You will simply thought of as odd if you don't wear magan gear or think magan. One will not get work if one's social media is to a magan's taste. We know how this works and nobody likes it. Not even the magan's - they simply fear being different or not part of the group - not a magan - they fear being American and all of the good and bad it brings.
This is what we get with Trump until his inevitable day comes. At that point he will anoint a successor. How soon will it be before Magans eliminate term limits for being president?
Fear not Trump and the Magan's - fear our own lethargy to prevent stop him. Be uncomfortable now by doing what each Citizen knows to do, for the discomfort under Trump will be smothering.
Don't accept that discomfort under Trump is not that bad.
Don't accept the dismissive notion of "what's the use" or don't have time and do nothing.
